in nihon buy\u014d at the age of 4 under the instruction of Hanayagi Mitsuaki I, founder and first principal of the Hanayagi Dancing Academy, and furthered his dance training in Tokyo with Hanayagi Sanichir\u014d, Hanayagi Isumi, Hanayagi Tomo, Hanayagi Kusumitsu, and Iemoto (headmaster) Hanayagi Jusuke IV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vk-heading-plain vk_block-margin-0--margin-bottom has-vk-color-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a2af9e9ab71a11d0ad6f07bd5e32b465\" style=\"font-size:1.2rem\"><strong><strong>Qualifications\/Achievements<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"vk_block-margin-0--margin-bottom wp-block-paragraph\">He was granted his&nbsp;<em>natori<\/em>&nbsp;name of Hanayagi Mitsujy\u016br\u014d in 2011 and his shihan master license in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mitsujy\u016br\u014d has performed extensively in Japan and Hawai\u02bbi and was awarded the coveted Ikusei-sho by Hanayagi Jusuke IV as an up-and-coming performing artist, and is recognized for his role in preserving and perpetuating the traditions of Hanayagi-ry\u016b in Hawai\u02bbi. Upon the passing of his teacher, at the age of fifteen, he continued his studies in Tokyo with the seventh-generation Samon-kai headmaster, Kineya Sakichi, and three years later received his professional name (natori), Kineya Sakio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vk-heading-plain vk_block-margin-0--margin-bottom has-vk-color-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a2af9e9ab71a11d0ad6f07bd5e32b465\" style=\"font-size:1.2rem\"><strong><strong>Qualifications\/Achievements<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2019, he was awarded the prestigious Master Instructor (shihan) certification by Sakichi VII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vk-heading-plain vk_block-margin-0--margin-bottom has-vk-color-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f3e3888dd5a50c50f0daa3c21261b34d\" style=\"font-size:1.2rem\"><strong><strong><strong>Performance Credits<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His performance credits include English-language Kabuki productions at the University of Hawai\u2018i at M\u0101noa, including&nbsp;<em>Nozaki Village<\/em>&nbsp;(2004),&nbsp;<em>The Vengeful Sword<\/em>&nbsp;(2013), and&nbsp;<em>The Maiden Benten and the Bandits of the White Waves<\/em>&nbsp;(2024).
